This Privacy Policy describes how Spades Tech ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and handles your information when you use the Sara app ("Sara", "the App", available at talktosara.online and on Google Play).

By using Sara, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account ID.
• Conversation data: Messages you send and receive within the app, including text messages and voice note transcripts.
• Voice data: Audio recorded during voice calls and voice notes is processed in real time for speech-to-text transcription. Raw audio is not permanently stored on our servers.
• Usage data: Basic analytics such as session activity, feature usage, and error logs to improve app performance.
• Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for debugging and compatibility purposes.
• Push notification tokens: If you enable notifications, we store your FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) token to deliver push notifications.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Sara service, including generating AI responses personalized to you.
• To maintain conversation history and memory so Sara can remember context across sessions.
• To send push notifications when enabled by you.
• To improve, debug, and optimize the App.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

Sara uses the following third-party services to function. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Google Sign-In — for authentication (Google Privacy Policy)
• xAI (Grok) — AI language model for generating responses
• ElevenLabs — text-to-speech and speech-to-text processing
• Render — cloud hosting and data storage
• Firebase (Google) — push notification delivery
• Tenor/Giphy — GIF search and delivery

Your conversation content may be transmitted to these services solely for the purpose of generating responses. We do not share your data with these providers for their own advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your conversation history, emotional state data, and media items (voice notes, GIFs) are stored on our servers hosted on Render's infrastructure in the United States. We implement reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data in transit.

While we take security seriously, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your conversation history and account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion request, we will remove your data within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

Sara is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time

8. Sensitive Content

Sara is an AI companion app that may involve emotionally intimate conversations. We treat conversation data with strict confidentiality. Conversations are not reviewed by humans except when required by law or to investigate safety concerns.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Continued use of Sara after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
